Hudson turns One!
I've had the privilege of having Hudson in the studio a few times now. So when mom called about his first birthday pictures and wanting to do a cake smash session, I was excited to get him back in the studio. I knew it would be fun. He's such a happy baby and I love his smile! Here's a few from his 6 month session to show you what I remember about this cutie!
Hudson's mom, Ashley contacted me about his special day back in early June about his July session.
I really appreciate that. Because if I don't have the background or props, it'll give me time to get them. Luckily I had a flag background that both of us thought was perfect!

Cake smashes are so fun! Unfortunately it can get messy! Hudson did a good job of not walking off set. I have had many babies get really messy then try and make a run for it! I recommend bringing an extra set of clothes for mom as well as your birthday baby. I do offer my kitchen sink to clean up and have a baby seat to set in the sink. Wash clothes and towels will be provided to help get everyone ready to get back in the car to travel home. And baby shampoo will be available, but please bring your own if you need a special soap.
I like to do some photos without the cake before the mess begins. Ashley chose to do some outside and a few on the flag background. It was really windy but we made some work.
