What a fun session!

So glad we didn’t cancel because of the weather!

We had already moved the session from Friday to Thursday to avoid the incoming rain. Then, of course, Thursday morning brought a heat wave. Ugh.

We decided to start outdoors and planned to move inside once it got too hot. Pilar didn’t seem to mind the heat at all—she fed the fish, danced around, climbed up the waterfall hill, and more. Photographing her was effortless; she was full of energy and personality.

Since we began around 6:30, the sun was already beginning to dip, giving us some nice shade and softer light to work with. That made it more comfortable and perfect for capturing some dreamy outdoor shots.

I had two indoor sets ready, so we popped inside for a quick change of scenery and a few more looks. Just as we were finishing, Pilar asked if she could go back outside—she absolutely loved the pond. Of course, I said yes.

We ended the session playing with bubbles and then a game of hide and seek. Moments like this are exactly why I love what I do.

And that took up the first 20 minutes

Let's go inside
