Charlotte and Savannah looked adorable in their dance outfits during this mini session.
We used 3 different backgrounds to give them lots of variety, and they did such a great job the entire time.
I’m sharing every image from their session to show what a client receives with a mini session. Even though mini sessions are shorter, there’s still plenty of time for sweet moments, personality, and a beautiful gallery full of memories.
This was a quick but fun session, and these girls made every minute count!
Proofing vs Editing
As you’ll notice, there is one image with a blue background. I did a quick background change on that photo to show Mom an example of what it could look like. Background changes are included as part of the 2 fully retouched images that come with every mini session.
All of the images in this blog post are proofed images, which is exactly how your gallery would look the first time you see your pictures online. Proofing includes basic edits such as cropping, color correction, density adjustments, and slight softening. Many clients love their images just as they are and don’t even come back for additional retouching.
Every mini session also includes 2 fully retouched images, meaning they are carefully finished and ready for printing. I do encourage retouching if you plan to print your images, especially in sizes larger than 8x10. At that size, small details become much more noticeable — things like flyaway hairs, extra light reflections in the eyes, or small wrinkles in the background. Full retouching helps clean up those details for a polished final image.
If you would like additional retouched images beyond the included 2, I’m happy to provide a quote. I only charge for the amount of retouching each image actually needs, so you are not overcharged or undercharged for extra editing. Additional retouched images typically range from $5–$20 per image depending on the work needed.
I told them to do a funny picture and this is what they did
